Chargebee’s Valuation Crosses $1 Billion Threshold
Woden client Chargebee has become a unicorn, reaching a $1.4 billion valuation with its latest round of funding.
The 10-year-old SaaS company, which lets businesses create and manage subscription and billing services, raised $125 million from investors in a series G funding round in April.
The Chennai and San Francisco-based company has seen strong growth over the last year as many businesses adopted subscription and delivery models to stay connected with their customers while physical retail locations became subject to public health lockdowns.
Chargebee was well-positioned to thrive during the pandemic thanks in part to the powerful story and brand promise it developed with Woden in early 2020.
Woden helped clearly define Chargebee’s brand purpose of maximizing the value of customer relationships by simplifying its clients’ revenue workflows. It then helped Chargebee align its entire operation behind that principle, positioning Chargebee as an insightful, supportive mentor for businesses looking to drive growth.
By the end of 2020, Chargebee had increased the number of businesses it worked with to more than 2,500 (up from 1,800 in 2019). Its client roster includes Fujitsu, Pret A Manger, and Linux Academy.
The team at Woden offers its congratulations to Chargebee on its tremendous growth.
